May 2, 2016 – LOUISVILLE, KY   – Lift your glass!  The Kentucky Derby Festival BeerFest presented by American Founders Bank returns on Wednesday, May 4.  There will be more than just beer tasting at this year’s event, thanks to a partnership with The Boston Beer Company. Attendees can participate in the Sam Adam’s Grapefruit squeezing contest; Angry Orchard Angry Pour Competition; Twisted Tea -Game Area, including Giant Jenga, Corn Hole, Giant Connect 4; Free Mustache Rides on the Traveler Beer 11 Foot Mustache Teeter Totte; or have a Coney Island “Adult” Root Beer Float.

BeerFest features beer tasting sessions from over 100 regional and craft beers.  There will also be plenty to snack on while you taste including the Derby Burger, Kern’s Kitchen Derby Pie, Cellar Door Chocolates, Wise Guy Foodz Maple Bourbon Peaches, Louisville Water Company Drinking Fountain, and a Pretzel Necklace Station.

It will be held from 6-10 p.m. on the Overlook at Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront, with entertainment provided by the Whiskey Bent Valley Boys. A complete list of participating breweries is available online at  KDF.org.
