We keep trying to give the money away! After 24 years, the $1 million prize is still up for grabs in the finals of the $1 Millon Dollar Hole-In-One Golf Contest. Anyone from beginners to scratch golfers can take a shot. There are great prizes just for qualifying and if no one gets the million, they can still walk away with a terrific First Prize.

Preliminaries are held for 9 days. This year’s challenge begins Thursday, April 18, 2013 and runs thru Sunday, April 28th. The Hole-In-One is open daily (will be closed April 20st for Thunder Over Louisville).  April 25th is Ladies Day and ladies will get two balls for the price of one all day. April 27th is Kids Day and kids will also get two balls for the price of one that day.  (See above for scheduled times.) Each golf ball is only $1. Get 5 FREE golf balls with the purchase of a $5 Pegasus Pin at the event. You may also find a coupon inside your Pegasus Pin envelope for “Buy 1, Get 1 Free” for a bucket of balls.

Golf Galaxy Coupon

Kentucky Derby Festival – 25 Golf Balls Free Offer

Free for all spectators. $1 per golf ball.

Each day, ten people will qualify to advance to the Semi-Finals. All Hole-In-One qualifiers will go directly to the Finals at Seneca Golf Course, Hole #8 on Tuesday, April 30th. All others who qualified, will advance to the Semi-Finals and will be given 3 shots to try to proceed on to the Finals. (Those who will proceed to the Finals are those hitting closest to the hole, filling the remaining spaces of the 50 total Finalist positions.)

There will be 50 positions available at the Finals, so there is a lot of opportunity. (Hold that thought: you don’t get the million unless a hole-in-one is made in the actual Finals…but not bad for a day’s work.) If there is not a hole-in-one at finals, the closest to the hole will receive $5,000.

The qualifier shot is 100 yards for everyone. The finals shot is 150 yards for men and 135 yards for women.
