Los Angeles based American soul and R&B group Rose Royce is currently working on a new CD to be released this year.  In their 25-year recording history the Grammy Award Winning and Multi Platinum selling group has sold millions of albums. They’re best known for several hit singles including “Car Wash,” “I Wanna Get Next to You,” and “I’m Going Down.”  Many artists have covered or sampled their hit songs such as “Wishing on a Star“, and “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore.”

After a lengthy sabbatical, Midnight Star is back with hit grooves and melodies that rock the house. Formed at Kentucky State University in 1976, the group began as a self-contained party band in the P-Funk/ Earth Wind and Fire mode, and quickly earned a strong reputation around the world.  The group scored several times on the charts during the mid-’80s, led by their double-platinum album “No Parking on the Dance Floor” in 1983. Other hits include “Don’t Rock the Boat,” “Snake in the Grass” and “Do It (One More Time).”

The Kentucky Derby Festival Waterfront Jam Presented by the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign will include live music on two stages at Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville featuring over 30 local and regional bands and 7 national acts beginning Thursday, April 23.  Admission to all concerts will be FREE with a 2015 Pegasus Pin.  Details of all the concert acts will be released in the coming weeks. Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville is open from Thursday, April 23, to Friday, May 1.  Fest-a-Ville and Chow Wagon Hours are 11 AM – 11 PM, except Sunday 12 PM – 11 PM.
