09/29/21 – DERBY FESTIVAL YARD SALE THIS FRIDAY

September 29, 2021. Louisville, KY. – The Kentucky Derby Festival is celebrating fall with some great deals. The Festival will hold its 19th annual Yard Sale this Friday, October 1, at the KDF office at 1001 South Third Street in Old Louisville. The sale is one day only and will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Yard Sale will feature collectibles and memorabilia including event t-shirts, Derby Festival Pins, posters from years past, glassware, Christopher Radko collector’s ornaments, and other pieces that span the Festival’s history.

There will be an exclusive offer for miniMarathon & Marathon participants again this year. All shoppers who attend the Yard Sale wearing a medal from any previous Derby Festival race will have the opportunity to purchase 2021 miniMarathon/Marathon race shirts at $10 each and receive a second for free. This offer is only good while supplies last.

Other items include cotton event T-shirts ($3 each or 3 for $5), past Derby Festival posters for $10, postcards for $2, glasses and close-out pricing on Official KDF merchandise.

There will be a special pin area featuring metal event pins, corporate and balloon pins, as well as plastic pins from 1973-2021. Special edition 2019- 2021 Gold Winner & Exchange Pins are being offered to collectors in limited quantities for $40 each or 2 for $75.

Derby Festival Christopher Radko holiday ornaments will be available for $30 each.

The yard sale will be set up completely outdoors at the Festival’s headquarters at 1001 South Third Street. Patrons are encouraged to come early and pick up some great items at very reasonable prices. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for purchases.
All Derby Festival events and programs adhere to local, state, and federal COVID-19 guidelines. While guidance continues to evolve attendees should be prepared to wear a mask and follow other safety protocol while at the yard sale.

Since 1956, the Derby Festival has worked to bring the community together in celebration. The Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 400 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation. This involvement has made the Festival the largest single attended event in Kentucky and one of the leading community celebrations in the world.
