The Festival and Kentucky Lottery are joining forces to give away a once-in-a-lifetime experience. One lucky winner will be named the 2019 Festival Fanatic and receive a prize package that includes unique experiences from being a VIP in the Republic Bank Pegasus Parade to seats on Millionaire’s Row Derby Week.

The prize package includes eight different Derby Festival experiences. They’ll start with front row seats to Thunder Over Louisville with a rooftop view of the show; then ride in a hot air balloon as part of the BB&T Great BalloonFest. go backstage to meet their favorite band at the Waterfront Jam at Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville; be on the historic Belle of Louisville for the Great Steamboat Race; sit on Millionaires Row at Churchill Downs as a VIP at our Celebrity Day at the Downs event; ride down Broadway; wave to the crowd as a VIP in the Republic Bank Pegasus Parade and more. To enter the promotion, players must sign-in or register for a Fun Club account at kylottery.com or via the Kentucky Lottery app. Players must be in compliance with all requirements of the Fun Club terms of use, including requirements for registering for or updating an existing account in order to submit tickets to enter a promotion. Once logged in, a player will be able to submit an eligible non-winning KENO ticket worth $5 or greater for a chance to be named Festival Fanatic. (KENO tickets must be purchased between February 4, 2019 and March 16, 2019 to be eligible.) All entries must be received by 11:59 P.M. E.S.T. on March 17, 2019. The drawing for the “Festival Fanatic” will take place on March 19.
Thunder Over Louisville – the Derby Festival’s Opening Ceremonies – is one of nearly 70 events produced by the Derby Festival in the spring. The 2019 show is set for Saturday, April 13, and will be the 30th annual production.
The Kentucky Derby Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 400 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation. It entertains more than 1.5 million people in a two-to three-week period every spring.
