34th Annual Derby Festival Volleyball Classic
We are commencing the Derby season this weekend with the 34th Annual Derby Festival Volleyball Classic! This event has been a Derby Festival staple for over 34 years. Even if you are not participating in the games, they are so entertaining to watch! This weekend (April 29th and April 20th) over 200 teams will participate in one of the largest outdoor volleyball tournaments in the nation! The grass divisions are held on Saturday and Sunday at Seneca Park by the tennis courts off Pee Wee Reese Lane. Play will begin each day at 9:30 am and end around 5:00 pm. WE ARE EXPECTING A HUGE CROWD! The Sand Divisions will be held at Baxter Jack’s on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
The Derby Festival Volleyball Classic is an official Derby Festival event. Teams travel from across the region to compete in this tournament. There are many divisions of play accommodating various skill levels. It is SUCH a FUN event!
Admission is free with a Pegasus Pin. The event is sponsored by Asics, Mikasa, and Tandem Sport.
