October 24, 2017 Louisville, KY. – Derby Festival fans don’t have to wait until next spring to watch the Great Bed Races. Bluegrass Karting & Events is hosting mid-season bed races tonight from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Kosair Charities.
Those interested in competing just need a bed (on wheels), 4 pushers, and a driver. A $50 entry fee gets your team a lap around the course, a great workout, pizza, soft drink, and prizes. If you don’t have your own bed to race, The Bluegrass Karting Bed is available to rent for $25 per run.
Spectators are welcome! Plus, following the bed races, there will be discounted carting from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Bluegrass Karting has participated in the Derby Festival’s Great Bed Races event every spring since 2015, placing in the top three of the Champions Division.
