April 18, 2019. Louisville, KY.- Due to the wet weather forecast for tomorrow, the Kentucky Derby Festival’s Horseshoe Foundation FamFest will be postponed. The event was originally scheduled for Friday, April 19, from 4-8 p.m., in Downtown New Albany.
The event will be rescheduled for a later date, and Festival officials will share that information as soon as it is available.
FamFest was first held in 2018, and is a family-friendly event showcasing various Derby Festival activities. Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County is title sponsor of the event with contributing sponsor Bennett & Bennett Insurance Inc. and Media Sponsor 102.3 Jack FM.
The Derby Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 400 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation. It entertains more than 1.5 million people annually. This involvement has made the Festival the largest single attended event in Kentucky and one of the leading community celebrations in the world.
