05/07/21 – DERBY FESTIVAL AND PASSPORT HEALTH PLAN TO RELEASE MUSIC VIDEO SUNDAY

May 7, 2021. Louisville, KY. – The Kentucky Derby Festival has partnered with Passport Health Plan by Molina Healthcare, as well as Louisville vocalist and songwriter Jason Clayborn, to share a special music video release this weekend. Clayborn and The Atmosphere Changers along with Clayborn’s sister Daria Raymore perform the single “God Made it Beautiful” – in a tribute to the Derby Festival’s annual GospelFest event. The video will premiere on the Festival’s Facebook page (@kyderbyfestival) this Sunday, May 9th at 12:30 p.m.

“This year’s Derby Festival has been about lifting up the community,” said Matt Gibson, Kentucky Derby Festival President and CEO. “Jason Clayborn has always been a part of our GospelFest event and sharing his song is just another way we can help raise everyone’s spirits.”

The annual GospelFest event traditionally showcases choirs from Louisville and around the region. The in-person event was not able to be held in 2020 and 2021 due to concerns surrounding COVID-19.

“We are pleased to support the Kentucky Derby Festival and our community by presenting this special tribute. Now in our ninth year of sponsorship, the GospelFest and its music truly brings our community together with amazing voices of hope. We need messages like this now more than ever,” said Ryan Sadler, President, Passport Health Plan by Molina Healthcare.

The video with Clayborn and Raymore was filmed along the river front with Louisville’s skyline in the background. The voices of The Atmosphere Changers can also be heard throughout the song.

“Seeing all the things going on around us inspired me to write this song to share a message of hope,” said Jason Clayborn. “I love working with family and it was an honor to have my sister as a part of this song and special tribute.”
Jason Clayborn was born into a spiritual and musical family of six in Louisville, Kentucky. He migrated towards local and regional church ministry as an artist and songwriter before forming The Atmosphere Changers, a gospel music choir comprised of young performers from Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. He has written over 100 songs.

The song “Better” peaked at number one on the Billboard charts and garnered nominations for a Dove Award, Stellar Award, Soul Train Award, Billboard Award, and a Grammy Award. Clayborn released his debut single, with The Atmosphere Changers, on the Indianapolis-based Tyscot Records, “Heaven Belongs to You,” last year. He co-wrote “God Made It Beautiful” with Gabriel Hatcher.

Members of The Atmosphere Changers include: Tyler Anderson (St. Stephen Church), Brian Bausley (St. Stephen Church – Hardin County, KY), Colexis Bridgewater (Galatian Baptist Church), Niya Brown (Destiny Christian Fellowship – Sacramento, CA), Cari Burns (Good Shepard Worship Center), Cydney Crutcher (St. Stephen Church), Raymond Jeffries (House of Praise), Reggie Knox (SSC Indiana) and Alan Prentice (Cable Baptist Church).
