April 2, 2025. Louisville, KY.- The Kentucky Derby Festival is postponing the new Zoeller Pump Company ParadeFest due to inclement weather expected through the weekend. The first ParadeFest was set to take place outdoors this Saturday (April 5) and will be rescheduled for a later date. Festival officials will share the new date as soon as it is available.
“Kentucky Derby Festival produces most of our events outdoors and over the years we’ve learned to be flexible when it comes to weather in the Ohio Valley,” said Matt Gibson, Kentucky Derby Festival President and CEO. “The potential for rain and high winds this weekend would make it challenging to host the ParadeFest outside and impact the event experience, so we’re postponing to a later date.”
Strictly an outdoor event, winds and rain would prevent the cold-air inflatables and bounce houses from being able to set up and would also prevent many of the displays and activities from taking place.
“At Zoeller Pump Company our people are most important and safety is our priority each and every day,” said Dwight Newton, Chief People Officer for Zoeller. “We look forward to hosting this new event a little later in the season and celebrating with the traditional Pegasus Parade when it marches down Broadway on April 27.”
2025 will be the inaugural ParadeFest featuring family-friendly activities in honor of the Pegasus Parade. Zoeller Pump Company is Title Sponsor of ParadeFest, joining Contributing Sponsor Kentucky Venues, Official Health Care Provider: UofL Health and Official Hotel The Galt House Hotel.
