April 28, 2025. Louisville, KY. – Fifty-six golfers will give it their best shot and take a swing at $1 million in tomorrow’s Finals for the Stock Yards Bank Kentucky Derby Festival $1 Million Dollar Hole-In-One Golf Contest. The Finals begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, at Seneca Golf Course, Hole #8.
Each Finalist gets one shot at the green, set up 150 yards away (135 yards for women finalists). If no finalist hits a hole-in-one, the participant hitting the ball closest to the pin will win $5,000. Spectators can view the exciting action during the Finals for free!
No one has aced Hole #8 at Seneca Golf Course in the event’s more than 30-year history, though a Louisville college student came closest in 2024. Sean Macfarlane was nearest to the pin, hitting his tee 10 feet 11.5 inches from the cup, and winning the $5,000 prize. Last year was his first time participating in the Derby Festival golf event.
The 56 positions in the Finals, include all daily hole-in-one qualifiers and four female qualifiers from Ladies’ Day, plus two qualifiers 18 years old and under from Junior Day advance as well. The remaining Finalist positions were determined at Sunday’s Semi-Finals.
