February 28, 2022. Louisville, KY. – It’s time to start planning for spring and the return of Kentucky Derby Festival events! Tickets for 2022 Festival events go on sale at 10 a.m. tomorrow – Tuesday, March 1.
“We are excited to return to live and in-person events this spring and celebrate our favorite traditions together again,” said Matt Gibson, Kentucky Derby Festival President & CEO. “Our ticketed events tend to sell out quickly, so we encourage fans to purchase their tickets soon, so they don’t miss out.”

The Derby Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 400 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation. It entertains more than 1.5 million people annually. This involvement has made the Festival the largest single attended event in Kentucky and one of the leading community celebrations in the world.
