03/30/23 – FAMFEST HEADED TO NEW ALBANY NEXT WEEK

FEATURING INDOOR & OUTDOOR FAMILY-FRIENDLY FUN

March 30, 2023. Louisville, KY.- The Kentucky Derby Festival is headed across the bridge and to Southern Indiana next week for an evening filled with family-friendly fun at the Caesars Foundation of Floyd County FamFest. The annual event, featuring indoor and outdoor activities, is set for Friday, April 7 from 4-8 p.m. at the Floyd County Family YMCA (33 State St. in New Albany).

“We’re fortunate to have Festival fans on both sides of the river,” said Matt Gibson, Kentucky Derby Festival President and CEO. “We’re all ready for spring and this event will help get everyone in the spirit of Festival season. Plus, we’ll have activities for the whole family.”

Attendees can meet members of the 2023 Royal Court and get their autographs, as well as enjoy live entertainment by Louisville singer/songwriter Kimberly Alana. Several food trucks will also be onsite, including Fistful of Tacos, Our Lady of Perpetual Hops, Kona Ice, SpudBank and The Toasted Pineapple Snack Shack. Making its debut this year at FamFest is Rumpke Waste & Recycling’s Touch-A-Truck, which offers guests the opportunity to learn about and explore various large vehicles, including a garbage roll-off truck, helicopter, dune buggies and more!
