04/25/21 – LAST DAY TO TAKE A SWING FOR $1 MILLION – HOLE-IN-ONE CONTEST SEMI-FINALS AT 6 P.M.

April 25, 2021. Louisville, KY. – This is the last day of preliminary qualifying rounds for the Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company Kentucky Derby Festival $1 Million Dollar Hole-In-One Golf Contest. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. it’s $1 per shot at the Seneca Golf Course Driving Range off Pee Wee Reese Road. The Semi-Final round begins at 6 p.m.

During the preliminary rounds, the 10 closest shots to the hole each day will advance to the Semi-final round, while hole-in-one shots, will advance directly to the Finals. There are a total of 56 positions in the Finals, which include all daily hole-in-one qualifiers, four female qualifiers from Ladies Day, plus two qualifiers under the age of 18 from Junior Day advance as well.

Each Finalist gets one shot at the green, set up 150 yards away (135 yards for women finalists). The Finals competition, which is exciting and free for spectators, will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27 at Seneca Golf Course Hole # 8. The participant coming closest to the hole during the Finals (if no hole in one is awarded) will receive a $5,000 first prize.

There are some changes to the event this year to comply with COVID-19 safety guidelines. Golfers are asked to bring their own clubs to participate, buckets of balls can be reserved at the event or ahead of time via the event web page on KDF.org, tees will be spaced further apart to allow for social distancing, as well as other necessary COVID-19 protocols as recommended by federal, state and local health officials to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers and organizers.

Since 1956, the Derby Festival has worked to bring the community together in celebration. The Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 400 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation. This involvement has made the Festival the largest single attended event in Kentucky and one of the leading community celebrations in the world.
