3/29/2016 – SOLD OUT SHOW BRINGS HOTTEST FASHIONS TO THE RUNWAY THIS WEEK

March 29, 2016. Louisville, KY.  – The hottest spring fashion trends will hit the runway this week at the 2016 Macy’s Kentucky Derby Festival Spring Fashion show.  Set for Thursday, March 31, in the Showroom of Horseshoe Southern Indiana, this year’s show is themed “Dreamscapes.” One of the country’s premier retailers – Macy’s – returns for their fourth year as the title sponsor. The event starts with cocktails and boutique shopping at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and runway show at 8 p.m.

 Christine Fellingham, Courier-Journal Fashion Editor and HerScene Editor, will help style and produce the show again this year.  Guests can expect a night of fun and high fashion.

 This year’s fashion show will feature outfits and accessories by: Apricot Lane Boutique, BLU Boutique, Caden, Collections Boutique, Crush Boutique, Found and Fabulous, GUESS?, Inc., Macy’s, maurices, Olivia & Co. Boutique, Rodeo Drive, and Willow Tree. Eyewear is provided by Gaddie Eye Centers, and hats are provided by The Hat Girls, the Official Hat sponsor of the 2016 Derby Festival. Some of the Festival’s Official Products will also be featured and the Official 2016 Derby Festival merchandise will be on sale at the event.

 At the show, guests will be treated to a red carpet photo opportunity by Macy’s where they can enter to win$100 Macy’s gift cards. Contributing sponsors are Guess?, Inc., Horseshoe Southern Indiana, J Michael’s Spa & Salon, and. Media Sponsors: Courier-Journal and 102.3 The Max.

First produced in 1990, the Kentucky Derby Festival Fashion Show was originally conceived as a venue for unveiling the new Board of Director’s uniform, the teal Pegasus jacket.  It was so successful, the Board of Directors decided to make it a permanent addition to the Festival schedule. Thanks to the support of many retailers, the Spring Fashion Show has become THE fashion show for the season.
