April 28, 2014. Louisville, KY.   – The Republic Bank Derby Festival Parade Preview Party will be held tomorrow (Tuesday, April 29) at the Kentucky Exposition Center in South Wing C.

This event offers a sneak peek at the Republic Bank Pegasus Parade, which will be held on Thursday, May 1, in downtown Louisville. Each parade float and inflatable will be on display, complete with costumed characters, as well as equestrian units and even some goats! Stage performances from local dance groups will also be featured.

Admission to the Pegasus Parade Preview Party is a 2014 Pegasus Pin. Children can participate in the Fun Pass Program, collecting stamps from the parade units to receive a free Parade Preview metal pin. Private tours will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 29, and the event will be open to the public from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Since 1956, the Derby Festival has worked to bring the community together in celebration. The Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 400 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation. This involvement has made the Festival the largest single attended event in Kentucky and one of the leading community celebrations in the world.
