April 29, 2016. Louisville, KY. – The Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation Academic Challenge Presented By Sullivan University is set for tomorrow at Male High School. Jefferson County Public Schools is producing this year’s quick-recall tournament scheduled for 8 AM to 3PM.
Said Mike Berry, Kentucky Derby Festival President & CEO “The Academic Challenge event is a great way to showcase the academic achievements of not only our local students, but also our public schools.”
The Academic Challenge Presented by Sullivan University represents an opportunity for students from all over the county to test their acumen by answering questions pertaining to math, science, social studies, language arts and humanities. The competition will feature 28 teams from local elementary schools and a total of 300 students.
“Sullivan University is pleased to sponsor the Academic Challenge,” said Glenn Sullivan, President of Sullivan University. “We often look for ways to support events that encourage and celebrate academic achievement. We wish all the participants well in the tournament and in their future endeavors.”
