6/18/19 – VINCENZO’S COOKS UP FUNDRAISER FOR DERBY FESTIVAL FOUNDATION

UofL Coach Jeff Walz will be a Celebrity Chef at June 23rd Event

June 18, 2019. Louisville, KY. – Vincenzo and Agostino Gabriele will host their eighth annual “Night at Vincenzo’s” fund-raiser for the Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation on Sunday, June 23. The elegant event will be held at Vincenzo’s Italian Restaurant in Louisville. UofL Women’s Basketball Coach, Jeff Walz, will be one of the featured Celebrity Chefs. The benefit, which is open to the public, will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails on the patio, followed by hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert at 7 p.m.

“This event is one of the Festival’s best kept secrets and it’s for a great cause,” said Sally Galla, Chair of the Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation. “We appreciate the support from the Gabriele brothers and looking forward to another delicious meal.”

This year’s menu includes Crepes Agostino, Insalatina Di Cesare, Duet of Filet served with Farfalle Quattro Formaggi, Banana’s Foster and more. Plus, each course is served with a special wine pairing provided by Old 502 Winery, Official Wine Partner of the Kentucky Derby Festival. Guests will also receive a specialty cocktail and glass provided by Maker’s Mark. All proceeds from the event help the Foundation continue its mission of supporting charities around the community.

Tickets cost $1,800 for a VIP Table of 10 or $150 per person. Guests will be chosen from the VIP tables to be a “Guest Chef or Guest Sommelier” for the evening. For tickets, call Jeff English at (502) 572-3856. A portion of the ticket cost is tax-deductible.

The Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation, a 501 C 3 not-for-profit charity, receives and manages charitable contributions on behalf of the Kentucky Derby Festival, Inc., its supporters and the general public. The Foundation perpetuates the Festival’s impact on the community by developing projects that highlight the Festival’s influence on the area’s cultural heritage.
