PACKET PICK-UP FOR miniMARATHON, MARATHON AND FESTIVAL 5K
April 22, 2026. Louisville, KY. – Runners participating in the Humana miniMarathon and Marathon, and the 2nd Annual Festival 5K Presented by First Urology, can pick up their race packets starting Thursday, April 23 at the Publix Super Markets Race Expo and Packet Pick-Up. More than 11,000 people are expected to attend the two-day event, which returns for the fourth year to Freedom Hall at the Kentucky Exposition Center, 937 Phillips Lane (enter through Gates 1 or 4). It’s open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 24.
Publix Super Markets is the new Title Sponsor the Race Expo and has been the Official Nutrition Sponsor of the mini & Marathon since 2024. The Expo features packet pick-up for the Humana miniMarathon, Marathon and Festival 5K Presented by First Urology races and is a one-stop-shop showcasing the latest in health and fitness products, athletic apparel, shoes and accessories.
At the Expo, participants can:
• Pick up race gear from Swags Sport Shoes and other vendors.
• Visit the Official Derby Festival Race Merchandise Shop.
• Talk with and get race day tips from the Norton Sports Health Team.
• Participate in assisted stretch and injury-prevention work with KORT Physical Therapy’s Rehab Team.
• Meet your Pacer from the Ken Combs Running Store Pace Team.
• Find your name on the new Humana Athlete Wall on display at the Expo.
• Try nutrition items that Publix Super Markets will have on race day.
• Hang out in the NEW Runners Lounge and talk with Race Ambassadors to ask any last-minute questions and get tips for race day.
• Sample Hartfield & Co. Bourbon, the Official Bourbon of the race. (Ages 21+)
The Race Expo is the only opportunity for those participating in the Friday and Saturday races to pick up their packets. There is no packet pick-up on race day.
LATE REGISTRATION:
Late registration for runners of the miniMarathon ($135) and Marathon ($150) is available at the Expo until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 24.
RACE CHARITIES:
Runners can still sign up to run for their favorite nonprofits through the Race Charity Program. In 2026, matching contributions from Humana and the Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation will help every dollar raised go even farther for the Official Race Charities. They can sign up via their RunSignup profile or directly on the race registration page by clicking on the donate button at the top of the page.
RACE DETAILS:
The Humana miniMarathon and Marathon, set for Saturday, April 25, will start simultaneously at 7 a.m. on Main Street, near Slugger Field. The Finish Line will be at Preston and Witherspoon streets, just outside of the Waterfront. This year marks the 53rd annual miniMarathon and the 25th run of the Marathon.
5K DETAILS:
The 2nd Annual Festival 5K Presented by First Urology is SOLD OUT and no late registration is available. The 5K will take place on Friday evening, April 24, at 7 p.m. Participants will run a looped course that starts and finishes at Harbor Lawn in Waterfront Park and includes a lap on the Big Four Bridge.
RACE REWARDS:
All miniMarathon, Marathon and 5K participants will receive a medal and a T-shirt. Runners who complete both the 5K race and the Humana miniMarathon or Marathon will receive a Challenge Medal to commemorate their experience. New this year, mini and Marathon finishers will receive free admission if they wear their medals to Opening Day at Churchill Downs on Saturday, April 25. They wear their medal to the box office and receive a free general admission ticket.
