01/17/20 – LEARN HOW TO RIDE A BIKE WITH DERBY FESTIVAL AND PNC

Registration for Bicyclist Training Program Opens TODAY!

January 17, 2020. Louisville, KY. – Wish you could ride faster or go further on your bicycle? The Kentucky Derby Festival and PNC can help you do both through their training program for bicyclists. The FREE PNC Tour de Lou Training Program is for cyclists at all experience levels and registration opens today at KDF.org.

The eight-week training program includes free group rides led by the Louisville Bicycle Club. Training tips, like hand signals and rules of the road, as well as nutritional information will also be shared. Plus, the first 250 to sign-up receive a free tech shirt.

The training rides will take place at Noon on a Saturday or Sunday starting Sunday, February 22nd through Saturday, April 11th. All rides will meet in the Yellow Lot of Waterfront Park on River Road. The first ride will be 5 miles and begin with a Cycling 101 Class, all participants need to bring is their bike and a helmet. The rides increase by 5 miles each week.

The PNC Tour de Lou is set for Sunday, April 26. This will be the seventh year for the cycling event, which features three different distances – 20-miles, 35-miles and 62.1 miles.
