One lucky winner will be named the 2020 Festival Fanatic and receive a prize package that includes unique Festival experiences ranging from VIP treatment and a ride down Broadway in the Pegasus Parade to being the Thundernator – the person who starts the fireworks for Thunder Over Louisville. Plus, they also win $500 worth of spending money!

Thunder Over Louisville – the Derby Festival’s Opening Ceremonies – is one of nearly 70 events produced by the Derby Festival in the spring. The 2020 show is set for Saturday, April 18, and will be the 31st annual production.
The Kentucky Derby Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 400 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation. It entertains more than 1.5 million people in a two-to three-week period every spring.
