October 13, 2022. Louisville, KY. – Registration for the Kentucky Derby Festival’s annual cycling experience – the PNC Tour de Lou – opens Thursday, Oct. 20. The event, which is celebrating its 10th year in 2023, is scheduled for Sunday, April 16, 2023. Riders can register beginning next week at KDF.org/TourdeLou.

“The PNC Tour de Lou is a unique way to tour Louisville during our favorite time of year and attracts cyclists from across the country,” said Matt Gibson, Kentucky Derby Festival President & CEO. “We look forward to celebrating the 10th ride this year and offering an exclusive promotion to participants to explore the city on two wheels.”

The PNC Tour de Lou has moved to a Sunday for 2023 and cyclists will once again have the opportunity to ride through the home of the Kentucky Derby. In addition, the Metric Century course encompasses two states – Kentucky and Indiana. PNC Bank returns as the Title Sponsor of the event since 2015.

“As a Main Street bank, PNC champions the financial, physical and personal wellness of our employees, customers and communities,” said Kristen Byrd, PNC regional president for Louisville. “Our continued sponsorship of the PNC Tour de Lou, which engages cyclists of all ages and abilities and creates economic impact for local businesses, is one example of how that commitment comes to life in Greater Louisville.”

In honor of the 10th annual ride, special discounted pricing will be available for 10 days for riders who register between Oct. 20-30 for any of the four ride offerings.

The separate cycling distances include:

  • 20 miles – Ideal for beginners or those new to cycling ($35 – Open course, no streets closed)
